"Open your mouth for the speechless, and the cause of all who are appointed to die.

Open your mouth, judge righteousely, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.

Prov. 31:8&9"

Jonathon is 5 years old and really wanted to help paint. He came to us and asked if we had a little brush he could use to help. Naturally we put him to work. Like the rest of the children he got some paint on the wall and a lot on him. He was one of our "Orange People".

Will also enjoyed helping with the paint and became one of the "Orange People". All the children looked so nice and clean at the start. It is a good thing we had lots of orange paint.

The ladies painted the inside of the building. Beth did a great job on the walls. The inside needed several coats as the walls devoured the paint. That is a problem when you live in the desert.

Aubrey did the hard job of painting the kitchen. In the kitchen we had to use an oil based paint. Not only was it hard to remove from her body but is was very smelly. She did a great job and never complained.

In fact the entire team was a great blessing and did not complain. We all worked hard and yet had a great time while doing it.

Daniel, Abraham, Dan Gailey & Micah Nichols mixed cement by hand so the blocks could be laid for the wall. Mixing cement by hand is not an easy job.

Brett helped move the lumber that was needed for forms. He also helped lay some block. It was his first time laying block. He learned from our director, Francisco, who is an expert in block laying.

All of our kids worked hard and then they played hard. Our children love Soccer and are very good players. They are on teams and have won medals for their playing. The Americans kept up with them and they all had a great time no matter how hot it was.

It was hot.

Outside the city of Chihuahua, near our new land, there is a Colonia (neighborhood) of Tarahumara Indians. They moved down from the mountains during a drought and are earning a living by making adobe bricks.

Francisco has opened this area to the Gospel by taking food, clothing, and helping the people with their needs. Actually our children had the initial burden for these people. The children saw how the Indian people lived and wanted to give some of what they had to help the poor. No matter what your situation you can always find someone to help and that is what our children did. As a result there is now a service being held in this area. Ron was able to preach the midweek service where over a dozen people answered the altar call.

Our team bought some adobe bricks from this family. They also bought small handmade items. They were a blessing to these people.

We do not have a lot of pictures of these people as they are very shy and know they are poor. Therefore, they do not like to have their pictures taken. We must first gain their complete trust and respect before we will have many more pictures to show you.

Please pray for this outreach and the people that our children and directors are attempting to reach.
