25th Anniversary Year

Philippines
The summer has been a very busy time of ministry for our churches in the Philippines. Several ministry wide events took place during this summer. We had a women’s convention, a youth camp and a kids rally. These events were fruitful and have helped change the lives of many.
Eighteen students participated in the summer classes of the Bible College. God is moving mightily in their lives and in the College. We praise God that we are able to train new leaders and Pastors.
Several Evangelistic Crusades were held with people being saved and healed. Also this summer we had twenty new converts who received water baptism and are walking boldly with the Lord.
Our Campus Ministry in Dalican is making an impact on the local university. This ministry is led by a married couple their names are Pastor Orly and Pastor Lucy. In Jan of this year they had their first child, Jelu Ronica The following is a report we received from them:
"Dalican is a Muslim dominated community with very little Gospel outreach yet we see this as an open door for many opportunities to share Christ. The ministry operates on the Mindanao Southern University Campus. The Fellowship Center provides off campus housing for Christian students. There are also Bible Studies and leadership training classes conducted in the Fellowship Center. The leadership training equips the students to Evangelize on campus and bring new converts to Bible Studies. This campus ministry is a major catalyst for training student leaders who are committed to serve the Lord.
We thank God for the vision that was imparted during the Leadership Seminars conducted by Apostle Ron Gartner, Pastor Harry Gamm and Pastor Tim Morales. They have ignited our desire to more effectively raise up leaders and expand God’s Kingdom in this place. With the generous help from Refuge Ministries we have been able to expand the Fellowship Center. We have been able to add two bedrooms to provide more housing space. We have also been given lesson materials which the leaders will be able to copy and use in their ministries..
Mexico
The children made Bible bookmarks and we were able to sell them. This brought great joy to all the children. The children appreciate everything that is being done for them. They are happy to have this opportunity to help with their support.
Our children are excited about going back to school. Many of them will be going to different schools which they find both exciting and a little scary.
All of our children advanced to a new grade but the ones that have gone from Primaria to Secondaria are the most excited. With their school supplies, new uniforms, showered and hair combed they set off to new adventures in learning and making new friends. We encourage the children to work hard in school and to advance as far as they can. Some of our older children are now in technical school training to be child care specialists.
We know that many of you like to help our children especially for Christmas. Yes it is only September but before we know it Christmas will be here. Every year I ask the children what they want for Christmas. They usually have the same answers they want things like new underwear, soccer shoes, new shirt, new skirt, and new blouse. All our children ask for only one item each year. They always ask for things they need not things they may want. We have never limited the number of items they could ask for yet year after year they each ask for only one item. Our children are always so happy with whatever they receive at any time. We are thankful that they have kind hearts and they all love Jesus. What a blessing to us and to the Directors.
