Golf Outing
We had a great golf outing. Special thanks to everyone who played, sponsored a hole, donated prizes, or worked at the outing. The weather was perfect and everyone had a fantastic time.
As usual we had great prizes and many golfers went home with an award.
Ethan Gailey, Steve Lenox, and Ron Gartner
Steve Lenox won the golf clubs 2 years in a row. It must be the hat. On several occasions Steve has loaned clubs to Ethan Gailey so he could play. This year Steve said if he won he would give the clubs to Ethan. Steve was true to his word as you can tell by the smile on Ethan’s face. Ethan went home with the clubs and will have them sized and perhaps win prizes next year.

The golf outing proceeds this year will all be used for the Children’s Home in Mexico and the works in the Philippines. The children and the workers in the Philippines appreciate your support. So while everyone has a great time playing and winning prizes they are also helping poor children and the advance of the Gospel in different parts of the world.

Christmas
As the leaves turn on the trees we start thinking of cold weather. We know that some of you want to bless our children at Christmas. We ask that you remember that shipping and then the 5 hour trip to the Children’s Home all take time. So please mail early. If you do not want the expense of mailing then a check will do. If you want certain items a little note telling us of these items will insure we get what you want the children to receive.
Every year we pray our children will know the true meaning of Christmas. We also would like to bless them with presents. Our children normally do not ask for anything but if prompted they do not have a list. They usually want only one item like underwear, socks, or other basic clothing items.
We love every one of our children and we thank God for their changed lives. Without a loving home and Christ in their hearts who knows where they would be. Each one has a heart breaking story of abandonment or abuse of the worst kind.
Please pray for our children at Christmas as it can be a difficult time for them when they remember the reasons they are with us. A special gift or two at Christmas can make the season much easier for those who wish they had their natural family to help celebrate this holiday. Though we do our best to create a family atmosphere for the children, and they love the directors, it is still not the same as having your own family around you at Christmas time. This time of year should be filled with love and joy but sometimes it is hard for our children. Please pray that God will bless and comfort our children this Christmas.
Once again we thank you for your participation in the golf outing. We ask you all to come again next year and each one brings one new golfer. Thank you.
