Mexico
Once again we had an awesome convention in Chihuahua. The presence of God was so powerful that many people were dancing and there were many tears at the alter as God touched and restored many lives.
This is the one time of the year that we bring all of our churches together for a week-end of special services.
It is a time the church members look forward to all year. Many members from the churches in Juarez, Lerdo and San Juanito renew acquaintances and enjoy the fellowship as they participate in the convention services.
This year again we were blessed by the ministry of Pastor Juan Salinas and Pastor Vincent Baltierra. Pastor Willie Alonzo from Grand Rapids, MI also came and ministered.
Pastor Elias, the host pastor led anointed worship and shared the word of God.

It was our first time to have Pastor Willie speak at the convention and everyone was blessed by the word he preached.
Philippines
Brother ***** (name withheld for security purposes), a former Muslim, received Jesus as Lord in April of 2006. In June of last year he began to study at the RM Bible College. When he finishes his studies he will be planting a new church for Refuge New Life Ministries.
Pastor Noli Obregon has established many churches along the coast of the Celebes Sea. He is able to speak 7 Filipino dialects fluently. This is the latest church he has established for Refuge New Life Ministries. The tribal people who attend this church are poor laborers and fishermen. Their children do not go to school and cannot read and write. Pastor Obregon’s wife is a teacher and wants to help these children learn to read and write so that they will have the hope of a better life.
Please pray that we can provide her with the materials she needs to educate these poor tribal people. Please pray that we will be able to open a church and a Campus Ministry this year in General Santos City.
In Cotabato City the mother church is holding regular prayer meetings praying for the protection of our members and the city. One of the members is a police officer in the city. As he attended one of the prayer meetings many gathered around him and prayed for his protection. That same day as he was on duty a grenade was thrown at his feet. By the grace of God the grenade did not explode. Prayer is so important when danger such as this is ever present. Please pray for your brothers and sisters in this violence ravaged part of the world.
