Ron just arrived home safely from his trip to the Philippines. Two new churches affilated with Refuge New Life Ministries. Ron visited the new campus ministry in General Santos City and several of the rural churches.
The first week of the trip was a Pastors and leaders conference in Cotabato City. Just before Ron and Curt arrived one of our church members was murdered by two machete wielding bandits. While Ron and Curt were in Cotabato two kidnappings took place. But thanks to everyone’s prayers God kept Ron and Curt safe and they felt perfect peace the entire time.
This conference was the most successful ever. Two hundred forty delegates attended. Some of them had to travel an entire day to reach the conference. Travel is not easy in the Philippines.
There was much ministry time and the Pastors were eager to receive from God.
For three and one half days the Pastors slept in the school rooms and were fed both physically and spiritually.
This was our kitchen where all the meals were prepared.
Every meal had rice that was prepared in our outdoor kitchen. We also had chicken, soup and fruit. We also had mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks. No one went away hungry.
At the end of the conference everyone wanted their picture taken with the guest speakers.
The Pastors were greatly encouraged. Next month we will publish some of the testimonies and more of the adventures of Ron and God. A conservative estimate is that this conference will impact at least 5,000 Christians as the Pastors take these teachings back to their congregations.
