"I thank my God upon every rememberance of you, always in every prayer of mine making a request fro you all with joy, for your fellowship in the Gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." Phil 1:3-6

Philippines

We received an urgent message from the Philippines. It is below. This is about the typhoon that hit the Philippines.

Dear Brethren in the Lord,

I am appealing to any Christian Brothers or Sisters who can read this Letter of Appeal, I am not ashamed to beg. It is the cause of life that right now many are crying for help, most especially for food. Some have not been able to eat up to now because they are on top of their houses, while others lost their homes. Strong currents washed out or carried their homes away. Help is very slow because the disaster caused by typhoon Frank is almost the whole country of Philippines, hundreds died, others are homeless, and 1 ship sunk carrying 900 passengers. There are around 20 that survived the rest are dead. Here in Cotabato City, our Church in Salimbao is submerged under water, all the members in the district up to now are crying for help, clothing and food especially. If their home is spared, the problem is they are full of dirt and sand, it takes weeks when the water subsides to clean up.

I know you have needs but I am appealing if you can extend little part of your food to be shared to this hungry people out there crying for food, clothing, blankets and other help. It is very much appreciated.

Pastor Encar

We do not often make emergency appeals but this is a special case. Any amount will help us to buy rice, blankets and other help for our brothers and sisters in Christ. If you can help with anything at all please mark your checks Philippine typhoon relief. Thank you for caring.

Panabo City

About a year ago we began a church plant in Panabo City. This is an update on the work:

Our warm greetings to you from the Panabo City congregation. I would like to give you a ministry update of the church in Panabo City. Since our 2008 women’s conference in the church God has been bringing in a great harvest of souls. Our church has increased to 95 families. Below is a picture of some of the new converts worshipping the Lord, taken in our last Sunday worship service.

Blessings to you

What a blessing that the work is growing.

God has been tremendously blessing the 3 new church plants that we have begun in the last year. As more people graduate from the Bible School, our vision is to plant more churches in this area of the Philippines that has a large Muslim population.

Mexico

At the farm in Chihuahua the construction work is moving along. Now that we have all the foundations and floors poured the next job will be the plumbing. After that we will put up the walls and then the roof.

Pouring the cement is always exciting when it comes from a truck.

It is hard work making sure everything is smooth and level.

Thank you for your prayers and support.
