Ron and Bernadette made a ministry trip to Zimbabwe Africa in May 2005. The first phase of ministry was a conference attended by over 1,000 delegates from a network of various churches.
Bernadette ministered to the ladies on Sexual Integrity. The ministry was anointed and many of the ladies were set free. Later many of the ladies reported the teaching was exactly what they needed. God moved in a powerful way anointing the Word to bless and set people free.
The next phase of ministry was in Kwekwe where Ron and Bernadette ministered. The presence of God was powerful in all the meetings. Many reported being renewed and revived as the Spirit of God touched them.
Ron taught the Bible School students in Kadoma. Teaching Bible School students is something that Ron loves to do as preparing people for ministry is close to his heart. Ron has been teaching and preparing Pastors since beginning missionary work in Mexico 20 years ago.
Irene is a young lady with the call of God on her life. She works as a domestic for room and board. Like many in this poor nation she could not afford the Bible School tuition though it was her desire to attend and fulfill her calling. Bernadette gave her an offering from Refuge Ministries to cover her first year of study. The people in Zimbabwe are so poor that when you visit you tend to give away everything you have with you.
Irene had given her Bible to a young lady who had recently come to the Lord. At first Irene was not sure if she should give it away as it was her only Bible. She said, "Lord if this is what You want then You will supply for me." She willingly gave the Bible and then had no Bible and no money to purchase another. Irene cried when Bernadette gave her the personal study Bible she was using.
Zimbabwe's rural areas still have a tribal culture. AIDS has ravaged this nation, as it has so many in Africa, as a result many elderly are left without family to care for them. AGM has a vision to care for the elderly and AIDS orphans as God provides.
Unemployment is currently at 80% in Zimbabwe. Most people have a garden that produces greens which are a staple in their diet. Refuge Ministries gave an offering to buy baby chicks and chicken feed as a livelihood project for a Pastor. When the chicks are ready they will be sold as food.
In 2006 Ron & Bernadette plan to make a return trip to Zimbabwe to minister and to help our poor brothers and sisters there as God provides. We want to help the children go to school and get the best education possible. We are also looking at helping people with livelihood projects. Please pray for the resources to accomplish this.
